Peer presure is mostlikely seen as a negative thing. In some cases it can also be viewed as a positive thing. When you think of peer pressure you think of someone being influenced by a friend in negative ways, and hope they think of the consequences before they give in. A possitive way that I have experienced peer pressure was from a close friend named sterling. About 2 years ago sterling and I went to golden high school together and one day he decided to leave his home because he wasnt agreeing with him parental units. Sterling came to live with me for 3 months. We always talked to eachother about what ever was on our mind. He would always get me to think in the opposite direction from what my first thought was. One situation in particular was going to school. When he had left his parents he couldnt go to school because he was listed as a runaway. He really encouraged me to get to school. He would wake me up in the morning, help me understand my homework, greet me when I was home from school and ask me how my day was. He is an amazing friend and really helped me through my first year of high school. If it wern't for sterling I would have totally given up on school when I was a freshmen. Sterling was great support for me and I am so thankful that he has been in my life since we first met. He will forever be a wonderful friend.
Language can be guided to influence action because they have a strong affect and can linger in ones mind weather they know it may be right or wrong. When lady Macbeth is talking to Macbeth about what needs to be done for what she wants, she insults him and uses strong words to grasp his attention to listen to her, she also challenges him to prove to him that he is a coward. She got into his head and messed with his thoughts so that he was pretty much tricked into doing what she had told him to do. She gets what she wants.

Macbeth 1
In the story of Macbeth we have read up to the point where Macbeth and his wife are disscusing about taking the kings life so that Macbeth can have the throne and rule as king.
Macbeth is a brave noble soldier. He helped slay the men that were fighting against the blood stained captain. The blood stained captian reported Macbeths help and the king was very pleased to hear such things. Three witches visted Macbeth and Banquo and told them places they would be in the future. Macbeth was told he would be a king. Banquo was told he was less but greater. Now Macbeth and his wife are planning to kill the king eventhough Macbeth doesn't want to because the king has given him so much because of his deeds.
The themes in this play are desire of power, and the need for power. My first impressions of the play are that they are violent and a little confusing.

Scruples: Macbeth
1. I would sell my car but I would inform the buyer that it needs a new transmission.
2. I would not want to spend time in prison so I would go to war.
3. I would not swap expensive computer software with a friend. I would not want to risk getting into trouble over some dumb software.
4. I would vote anyways because I would want to have a say on who has power over the country I am living in. I would look for the politician who leans more towards my beliefs.
5. I would hope that the vagrant would see that food is more of a priority over alcohol and get something to eat so that they wont starve. So yes I would give them a dollar.
6. Today money is hard for my family to come across. Even though it would be nice to have some extra cash I wouldn't exaggerate my injuries so that I could get more money because it would be greedy and I would feel real guilty because my actions.
7. I would not let them photocopy my notes because they choose not to come to class so they were unable to get the notes. It is their loss and I would not want to risk failing or suspention for their needs.
8. I my signigicant other had felt guilty and ended up telling me what they had done right away I would not leave them. Since I have no idea how long it has been going on and he did not tell me and I found out some other way I would definetly leave him.

Gabbles Duh! Introduction
Hey everyone! My name is Gabby. While taking English 11 I am expecting to learn many things through out this course. I am really interested in going through Shakespeare and Macbeth. At my other school i took two semesters of theater arts and it was really interesting. I want to become better writer. I feel that I have potential I just have a bad case of writers block. I want to write wonderful stories and essays. There is a lot to cover in this course and I am excited to see what is to come and what is to learn.
I feel that I am a pretty creative writer, and have a lot to say when writing. I want to make them better. I know that I have great writing skills and I can't wait to put them to use. It is sometimes hard for me to put them to use, especially when it is on a topic that I know nothing about or really have no feelings for such things. When I do have a topic that is very personal I write a lot better. Last quarter I wrote a persuasive essay on saving Haiti. I felt like I did extremely well on that assignment. I love to read. I really like stories about struggles that people have gone through and how they get through them. I also like fantasy books, and mystery books.
